Sample Evaluation Terms
Last updated: 2026/08/14
1. Scope and acceptance
These terms govern the ClearSKY reference datasets made available through the sample-data download flow. By downloading a sample, you accept these terms for yourself and, where applicable, the organization you represent.
The samples are evaluation materials, not paid production deliveries or a service commitment.
2. Permitted evaluation use
You may copy, inspect, process, and analyze the samples within your organization for internal technical evaluation, prototyping, research, validation, procurement assessment, and testing of GIS, analytics, model, storage, or integration workflows.
3. Restrictions
You must not use the samples:
- in a production, operational, customer-facing, regulatory, or safety-critical workflow;
- as a substitute for a paid ClearSKY data service;
- for resale, sublicensing, raw-data redistribution, or publication as a standalone dataset;
- to provide third parties with bulk downloads, extraction access, an API, tile service, or materially similar dataset; or
- to remove, obscure, or misrepresent attribution, provenance, or rights notices.
4. Attribution and third-party data
Preserve the notice “Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data, provided by ClearSKY Vision” with internal reports or demonstrations where practical. Samples may include or derive from third-party source data and remain subject to applicable source notices and restrictions included with the archive.
5. Evaluation limitations
Samples are provided “as is” and may represent legacy models, selected geographies, historical periods, or configurations that differ from current production offerings. ClearSKY provides no SLA, support commitment, continued-access promise, or guarantee of suitability. Validate all outputs before relying on them.
6. General terms
ClearSKY may withdraw sample access or require deletion following misuse. ClearSKY retains all rights not expressly granted here. The ClearSKY Master Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy continue to apply where relevant.
